Decision Layer Labs
Designing for human-in-the-loop decisions.
Personal → Domain → Instrument → Signal → Decision → Loop
Most systems produce more information than clarity.
Decision Layer Labs explores a simple question: What signal needs to surface for a human decision-maker under friction?
From there, Personal Domain Instruments are designed, prototyped, tested, and shipped — often experimentally, sometimes clumsily, using modern development and AI as tools in service of operator judgment.
The goal is simple: reduce cognitive friction by surfacing the next useful signal inside a real operating domain.
•Personal •Domain •Instrumentation
PDI begins with the operator, anchors inside a domain where value is moving, then builds instruments that surface the next decision with less noise.
•Personal
The operator layer: preferences, deep-work rhythm, judgment style, and the working shop around the human.
Stewart
WIP- Smart assistant tuned to the operator's shop.
- Keeps the system tidy and protects deep work.
•Domain
The bounded arena where decisions matter: property transitions, workflow friction, and the movement from beginning state to end state.
NexaClear
Beta- Property Transition Intelligence & Oversight domain.
- Frames seller routing, teardown, and transition signals.
•Instruments
The working layer: small tools, reports, telemetry surfaces, and routing systems designed to preserve attention and improve decisions.
Morning PTI Report
WIP- Daily decision brief for property-transition signals.
- Compresses scattered inputs into the next useful move.
Builder Connect
WIP- Surfaces land, teardown, and redevelopment opportunities.
- Connects property signals to builder demand.
ClearPath
Beta- Routes sellers toward DIY, assisted, full-service, or agent-fit paths.
- Clarifies the move before the process starts.
SessionPeak
Beta- Listening-exposure telemetry for session-based work.
- Surfaces break and drift signals during long sessions.
The Lab Method
Signals precede dashboards. Decisions act like valves. Tools can compress noise into clear next moves.
- Observe signal
- Design instrument
- Build in public
- Test with operators
- Refine through loops
- Deploy
- Build before certainty.
- Ship before polish.
- Let use refine theory.
- Keep humans at the valve.
BUILD RECORD †
Field notes, working papers, source threads, dead ends, and OBS build sessions.
Not tutorials. Public build records from systems being designed in the open.
For project notes, collaboration, or field signal worth surfacing.
